A story that begins with Maria del Rosario and Juan de Dios, two individuals that despite their differences in social class, are deeply in love and have a child together, but fall victim to a corrupt plan to separate them orchestrated by Rodrigo and Leonarda. Juan de Dios is survived by his son who promises to avenge all the pain and suffering experienced by his parents. After years of being away, he returns to his hometown under the identity of Juan del Diablo. Upon meeting his enemy’s daughters, Aimee and Regina, he discovers an incontrollable passion for Aimee. But Renato, Leonarda’s son, is also in love with Aimee and although they get married, Aimee continues an affair with Juan. Aimee and Juan come up with a plan to elope but Renato discovers them. To protect her twin sister, Regina feigns that she is the one who was going to run away with Juan. Renato forces them to get married and Juan agrees only to make Regina pay for what Rodrigo did to his parents. However, as they get to know each other, they realize they were born for each other, and their love will be stronger than hatred or revenge, a love as deep and unconquerable as the sea.
